Its main characteristics are its hardness, durability, non-slip and waterproof. Different thicknesses and finishes are used depending on the use, location and traffic:
- For pedestrian areas, the most common is 3 or 4 cm thick with a non-slip flamed finish.
- For areas where cars, vans and low tonnages circulate, a thickness of between 6 and 8 cm is used.
- Slabs between 8 and 10 cm are used for heavy vehicle areas.
